Esh Hotel
Esh is the Hebrew word for fire. The owners built the hotel around that concept — not as a decorative theme, but as a structural position about how a building should make you feel. The result required two architecture firms: FAMM Arquitectura from Costa Rica and Sulkin Askenazi from Mexico City. Together they produced wabi-sabi formalism in a Blue Zone jungle — greys, indirect light, deliberately imperfect forms that quiet the senses rather than announce themselves. Every room contains original artwork by Costa Rican artist Mael Victory, commissioned specifically for the project, rooted in Japanese minimalism. Esh is a top-tier partner of Costas Verdes, the coastal restoration nonprofit that has been working in Nosara since 2009.

The design
Two architecture firms. One from Costa Rica, one from Mexico City. The result is not what either would have built alone.
FAMM Arquitectura and Sulkin Askenazi — twenty-nine suites and villas, some with private plunge pools. The Ember & Ash bar and Almar restaurant carry the fire concept through to the guest experience.

The yoga
A Blue Zone hotel designed around stillness. The yoga is the logical extension of the architecture.
Daily yoga at Vitalis Spa alongside a full programme of holistic treatments. The design philosophy — fire, impermanence, stillness — runs through the yoga offering as deliberately as it runs through the rooms.

The surf
Esh is not a surf camp. It is a hotel placed at one of the world's most consistent beach breaks. The distinction is intentional.
Guiones is a short walk. What Esh offers is context — a hotel designed to send you to the water ready, and receive you back when you're done.
